CatCard Replacement Polices
The UC Merced CatCard is a multi-service identification card for people who are affiliated with the University of California at Merced. The CatCard also features a wide range of on-campus services.
• NOTE: No hats, sunglasses, or other objects will be allowed in your picture.Replacement Fee: New employees and new students will have the first card furnished to them at no cost except for affiliates.
• One active card per customer only.
Replacement cards can be issued from the CatCard Office during business hours. A lost card does not mean lost money, if it is reported promptly. There is a $20 fee to replace a lost or damaged CatCard.
Residence Students: You may obtain a temporary card from the campus dining manager.
This card will provide you up to $35 that may be used in campus dining. You are responsible for the security of the temporary card and any purchases that are made on the card.
Temporary cards must be returned to the CatCard Office when your CatCard is located or replaced.
University Affiliates must pay the $20 fee in order to obtain a CatCard. They can work it out with their sponsoring department to recharge the $20 to that department.Lost and Found Cards: If you lost your CatCard, you must report IMMEDIATELY to the CatCard Office at (209)-228-2228 during regular business hours. After hours, call the campus Security at (209)-228-2677. Your card can be deactivated instantly, blocking the unauthorized use of your accounts or access features. If you find a lost CatCard, please return it to us or to the lost and found department.
Card Abuse: you are responsible for the use of your ID Card. Don’t lend your card to others. Unauthorized use or use by a party other than the person identified on the ID will warrant confiscation and possible disciplinary action by the University.
Name Change: If you change your name, you may come to the CatCard office to obtain a new ID card with a receipt of $20 payment from the Cashier. (Please wait five business days for system to update the new name).
The $20 dollar replacement fee should be paid to cashiering prior to processing their CatCard.
NOTE: To ensure the stability of your cared, please do not punched holes in the card; placed the card on stereo equipment, computers or near any magnetic fields, or in your pocket with coins.
