Cat Dollars (Deposit into this Plan)

In order to serve you better and to open the path for additional services in the future, the CatCard Office is combining multiple funds associated with your CatCard into a single plan named Cat Dollars. You will be able to use Cat Dollars anywhere on campus including all Dining Services operations, the Campus Store, laundry facilities in Housing, to print and copy in the library, and more.

This change applies to all active students, faculty and staff, and will be transparent to you. When you log into ePay, you will see Cat Dollars as the primary plan associated with your CatCard account.

On-Campus Meal Plan (Residential Dollars)

All students living on campus are required to select from one of three Declining Balance Meal Plans, at the point of signing up for Housing. Students are prompted to select from one three different meal plan choices (C, A, or T). At the beginning of each fall semester, you will have a starting balance. At the end of the fall semester, the unused portion of your balance carries over for use during the spring semester. On the last day of the spring semester, any remaining balance is forfeited. The on-campus meal plan is valid for tax-exempt meal purchases at the Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center only.

Commuter Meal Plans

The commuter meal plan is ideal for graduate and undergraduate students who commute to campus and wish to eat meals on campus at least a few times a week. It is a tax-exempt plan just like the on-campus meal plan valid at the Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center. You can add money in $50 increments, which equals approximately eight meals depending on your spending patterns. Similar to the Residential Meal Plan, plan balances will roll over from fall to spring and are forfeited at the end of the spring academic term.

How to Make a Deposit

The quickest and easiest way to make a deposit is through ePay. Log in to epay and select, "Manage My CatCard." You can also visit one of three ValuePort machines on campus. ValuePorts are terminals that accept cash deposits towards your CatCard plans. The ValuePorts are located on the second floor of the Kolligian Library near the helpdesk, in Valley Terraces near the laundry room, and in the front office of Sierra Terraces.

If you have questions about the deposit process, please contact the CatCard Office at 209-228-2228 or email catcard@ucmerced.edu.

Other ePay services under "Manage my CatCard" include viewing your transaction history, viewing available balances and deactivating your card in the event is it lost or stolen.
